This workshop, hosted by the British Embassy Paris and IDDRI, aims to : Provide forum for frank discussion between industry and government on major obstacles to international deployment of CCS on an industrial scale and raise profile of industrial opportunities; Establish some possible and preferred solutions to these obstacles; Build commitment among French and UK policymakers to give momentum to a CCS Action Plan envisaged in the 2008 Franco-British Summit– in the context of other international roadmaps eg IEA.
