This second meeting of the EU and US Dialogue on Climate Change will focus on
approaches to addressing competitiveness concerns, both across Annex I countries and with
the developing world. We will look at ways to address developed country industrial
competitiveness concerns as well as ways to engage developing countries in mitigation
actions. We will also examine opportunities for international collaboration in demonstrating
carbon capture and sequestration technology and explore opportunities and issues related to
new/modified carbon markets and linking European and U.S. trading systems.
