The main objective of this informal meeting is to take the opportunity of the Global Forum on Oceans, Coasts and Islands to gather available stakeholders from the Mediterranean and Western Indian Ocean (WIO) regions so that they can discuss the Mediterranean ICZM protocol experience regarding drafting and negotiation, and anticipate opportunities and risks that WIO stakeholders are going to face while developing their own ICZM protocol over the coming years.
