UNFCCC Poznan Conference

14th Conference of the Parties at the UNFCCC
Poznan From 01st of December 2008 to 12th of December 2008
Poland

Within the framework of the 14th Conference of the Parties at the UNFCCC, some representatives of IDDRI will actively participate in the Conference, either by providing support to facilitate the negotiations themselves on different subjects (sectoral agreements, legal aspects, forests, etc.), or by contributing to the expert debates organised alongside the negotiations.

In particular IDDRI will organize international round tables, the first one on "transition toward a low carbon world" (December 3), and the second one on financing measures to halt deforestation (December 8).

François Gemenne will also participate in the round table on Climate change and (Forced) Migration (December 6).

Laurence Tubiana will take part in the Experts Meeting of Breaking the Climate Deadlock project (December 9) and the Global Leadership for Climate Action side event on Finance and Technology for Mitigation and Adaptation (December 10).
