At Sciences Po Paris from 5.15 pm to 9.00 pm - Amphi Chapsal - 27, rue Saint Guillaume - 75007 Paris
A conference organized by the Sciences Po Sustainable Development Center and Proléa.
Presentation:
European agriculture is confronted to a set of challenges and opportunities (the global economic crisis, green growth, environmental externalities, food security, price volatility, the structuration of global agricultural trade) which combination could lead to a diversity of scenarios.
The current reform of the Common Agricultural Policy offers a window of opportunity to gear agricultural public policies toward sustainability and competitiveness. This reform opens the debate on the objectives, means, and instruments of tomorrow’s agricultural policies.
In this perspective, Proléa and Sciences Po Paris sustainable development chair have organized in 2010 and 2011 a group of seminars aiming at clarifying the different issues and positions in the debate, as well as to sketch the outline of tomorrow’s agricultural policies.
The International Conference "What kind of agricultural policies in Europe tomorrow? Challenges and opportunities of green growth" will be the closing event of that serie of seminars.
