Evidence, Emerging Risks and A New Agenda
03rd of May 2012, Paris (France)

An extraordinary conference organized jointly by IDDRI, the University of Exeter and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars

For the first time, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) will focus on human security in its assessment report to be published in 2014. On the occasion of this conference, Iddri, in collaboration with the University of Exeter and the Wilson Center, will bring together researchers and specialist practitioners in security issues to take stock of these emerging risks. How will climate change transform major security issues? What will be the impacts on civil and military conflicts, on food security or energy? What will be the new challenges ahead for humanitarian organizations and military forces?

With the participation of:
- Didier Bigo, Sciences Po – King’s College London
- Teresa Ribera, former Spanish Minister of the Environment
- Jamie Shea, NATO
- Laurence Tubiana, Iddri - Sciences Po

Introduction by Neil Adger (University of Exeter) and François Gemenne (Iddri)
Conclusion by Jon Barnett (University of Melbourne) and Geoff Dabelko (Wilson Center).

Conference moderated by Olivier Morton (The Economist).
