Laura Brimont is working on new indicators of wealth, both at the European level (European Commission's Beyond GDP initiative) and at the international level (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals). She is also working on the link between the digital and ecological transition, particularly through the subject of mobility (carpooling, car-sharing, autonomous vehicle) and crowdfunding.

Before joining IDDRI in April 2015, Laura worked for 5 years on deforestation issues in tropical countries, notably in Cameroon and Madagascar. Her thesis work (AgroParisTech/Cirad) thus focused on the cost of the mechanism for reducing emissions from deforestation (REDD+) in Madagascar. She is also a graduate of Sciences Po Paris in international relations.

In parallel to her research activities at Iddri, Laura is a freelance lecturer on international governance of sustainable development (Grenoble IEP, Université Paris 1, Université Versailles Saint-Quentin).
