Claire Weill

Physicist, Claire Weill conducted during 15 years experimental research and teaching activities in condensed matter physics. In 1999 she joined the French task force for climate change for three years. She has been in charge of the program "Risks, precaution and chemistry" in the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations in Paris. Her research focuses on the relations between science and policymaking in a context of scientific uncertainty, noticeably in the areas of climate change, chemicals and nanotechnologies, and on the major challenges for the chemical sector at the international level.
