Matthieu Brun is a PhD candidate at Sciences Po Bordeaux.

He was a research fellow "food and agriculture policies" at IDDRI from 2013 to 2015, in charge of undertaking research linked to the FoodSecure project (national policy analysis and global gouvernance of food security). He was also involved in foresight approaches regarding food supply chains, urban food systems and he works on agricultural policy changes.

Matthieu Brun graduated from Sciences Po Lyon in International Affairs and from the University Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris) in Agricultural Development and Economic Policies. Prior to IDDRI, he was consultant at the General Secretariat of CIHEAM (International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies) where he worked on food and agricultural issues in North Africa and the Middle East. He did field research in Morocco with CIRAD and in Egypt on food subsidy policies.
