Ye Qi

Dr. Ye Qi is the Cheung Kong Professor of Environmental Policy at Tsinghua University's School of Public Policy and Management and the Director of Climate Policy Initiative at Tsinghua. He serves on the Science Steering Committee of the Global Carbon Project and advises governments, NGO's, and international organizations on climate change, clean energy, and environmental policy issues. From 1996 to 2003, Dr. Ye Qi taught Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at the University of California, Berkeley. In 1994, he received a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry and Syracuse University. He then conducted research at the University of California, San Diego and at Cornell University from 1993 to 1996. Dr. Ye Qi's current research focuses on climate and environmental policy and governance, and he publishes extensively on climate change science and environmental policy. His recent book is entitled Environmental Governance in China. He is also the principal investigator and editor of Climate Policy Initiative's Annual Review of Low Carbon Development in China.
