Emmanuel Guérin graduated from the Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) Paris and has a Master degree of International Affairs. Emmanuel started working as an intern in the French Permanent Representation of the OECD, where he followed macroeconomic issues in the Economic And Development Review (EDR) Committee and the development issues in the Development Assistance Committee (DAC); then in the chancellery of the French Embassy in Mali, where he did an investigation survey about the Chinese presence in West Africa.
Emmanuel has joined IDDRI in September 2007 and he has been particularly following some strategic issues for the post-2012 climate change regime, such as investment and financial architecture, the development and deployment of climate friendly technologies, and sectoral approaches and agreements. He is now coordinator of Climate programme.
