Raphaël Billé is Programme Director in charge of biodiversity, natural resources and adaptation to climate change at the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI), a Paris-based independent think tank. Prior to joining IDDRI in 2006, Raphaël worked alternatively as a researcher, consultant and project manager for various NGOs, research institutes, bi- and multilateral development agencies. A social scientist with over ten years of experience, he specialises in biodiversity and natural resources management as well as in adaptation to climate change and evaluation of public policies. He has field experience in Europe, Asia, Africa and Central America. Raphaël holds a PhD in environmental management and two masters in regional planning and environmental economics. He has authored or edited several articles, books and reports in his areas of expertise, and he is a regular lecturer in several French universities.
