Sophie Galharret is a graduate in agricultural engineering, water and forestry, specialising in environmental and energy economics. She worked for two years in research and development for the GDF SUEZ group on the regulation of gas markets, the European carbon market and energy outlook scenarios, before heading the research programme on the economic instruments for climate change mitigation. She joined the climate team at IDDRI in November 2008. She will concentrate on energy issues and the options and tools for reducing emissions within the framework of international negotiations.
