Junichi Fujino
Dr. Fujino is a senior researcher in the Climate Policy Assessment Section Center for Global Environmental Research (CGER) at the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), Japan. His fields of research include environmental modeling analysis, especially on energy-economy system modeling and bioenergy study. He is involved in the development of the Asia-Pacific Integrated Model (AIM) to estimate climate change impact and to assess policy options for stabilizing global climate. He is currently fully engaging on “Japan Low-Carbon Society Scenario Project” since 2004.
He received his B.S./M.S and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan. He has been working in current position since April 2000. He is visiting Associate professor, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) and adjunct instructor, Tokyo University of Science.
