Ke Jian

Research Institute of Environmental Law, University of Wuhan, China.

Ke Jian is an Associate Professor in Research Institute of Environmental Law (RIEL), which was co-founded by Wuhan University and National Environmental Protection Agency, China, in 1981. He also serves as Deputy General Secretary, Division of Environmental & Natural Resources Law, China Law Societies. He received a Ph.D. degree in environmental law from Wuhan University in 2003. He also studied and worked as a visiting scholar at National University of Singapore (1997), University of Sydney (1998), University of Regensburg (Germany, 1999), Harvard University (2002-2003), Temple University (USA, 2004). His research interests and teaching activities cover a wide range of environmental law, including Chinese environmental law, comparative environmental law, and international environmental law. Dozens of academic works have been published in these areas both in China and abroad. At present, he is researching international legal regime of climate change at Centre d'Études et de Recherches Internationales et Communautaires (CERIC) in France.
