Ms. de Nevers was appointed on March 3, 2008. Ms. de Nevers joined the Bank in 1981 as a Young Professional and has since held various positions in South Asia, FINCR, Latin America and the Caribbean, Eastern Central Asia, and most recently as Director of Sector and Thematic Programs in the World Bank Institute.
With the rapid expansion of the climate change agenda, the intense engagement with a range of external partners and the growth of the overall environmental program for the Bank, in this new position Ms. de Nevers' top three priorities will be to: (i) support the effective management of the Environment Department and its delivery of a scaled up program of work; (ii) help implement the ENV work program, ensuring effective internal and external communication and coherence with SDN’s strategic vision and synergies across sectors; and (iii) support resource mobilization, the strategic direction and portfolio management of the core ENV budget and various trust funds.
