Watch the webinar:
Since the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), in 2022, significant progress has been made to establish the processes that will track and enhance its implementation. At COP16.2 in Rome, a detailed roadmap for the 'Global Review' was adopted: a key mid-term checkpoint towards the 2030 targets.
This review will not only assess the progress made but crucially help strengthen and adjust actions where gaps are identified. To support this formal process, IDDRI and the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) are pleased to invite you to a webinar that will:
- explain how the Global Review will be organized, its timeline, modalities;
- highlight why this process has the potential to mark a pivotal moment for collective action and accountability;
- discuss how all stakeholders can contribute to making the Global Review a truly actionable mechanism with real-world impacts. This event will feature opening remarks from representatives of the incoming COP17 Presidency (Armenia), alongside perspectives from a range of stakeholders.
