A series of events organized by the French National Assembly, with the support of the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy, IDDRI and the think tank Cartes sur table.

Overview:

The ecological transition is a main concern among citizens, that has been accentuated by the alarming reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Dialogue between actors in all territories has helped put today’s solutions into perspective given tomorrow’s challenges and to face the realities of a changing world.

Through a series of conferences open to the general public and the media, the aim will be to enhance the work of the French National Debate on the Energy Transition and to provide a space where actors from all walks of life can explore new avenues for consideration. The aim of Mardis de l’avenir is to move the national debate to Parliament.

Each first Tuesday of the month, at the French National Assembly, there will be an open discussion between two key personalities involved in the ecological transition in France. Starting with a strategic question, the debaters, but also the deputies present, elected representatives, guests from the economic world and civil society, will be able to discuss their proposals.
