Lola Vallejo, director of IDDRI's climate programme, has also been co-facilitator for the past year, with Amr Osama Abdel-Aziz, of a working group on mitigation mandated by the UNFCCC (Sharm el-Sheikh Mitigation Ambition and Implementation Work Programme - MWP). In this context, both will present their work alongside the facilitators of the technical phase of the Global Stocktake this Saturday, December 9 at COP28, as an introduction to a high-level ministerial round table on pre-2030 Ambition, attended by the President of the COP28, Sultan Al Jaber, and the Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC, Simon Stiel.
