The IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation (IUCN-Med) was founded in 2001 to "influence, encourage and assist Mediterranean societies in achieving both the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources, and sustainable development." 


The purpose of the members' meeting is to share with IUCN members and partners the main activities of the Centre ; to favour exchanges and the creation of Mediterranean networks and joint initiatives ; to consult on the 2009-2012 Intersessional Programme ; to discuss the Mediterranean input to the World Conservation Congress taking place in Barcelona from 5 to 14 October 2008.

Raphaël Billé will present the mediterranean activities of IDDRI.
