The ecological transition (energy or agro-ecological transition, development issues, etc.) is a subject of public policies. They are complex, sometimes underpinned by blockages or misunderstandings. At IDDRI, we propose possible solutions based on science. We put them on the democratic agenda because they are aimed at political and economic decision-makers, as well as at civil society as a whole. In these podcasts, IDDRI research fellows present their thoughts to shed light on the debate.
Carbon pricing is the subject of our new episode:
As the European ministers of economy are finalizing the agreement on the EU carbon border adjustment mechanism, IDDRI releases a new episode of its podcast Cap sur la transition: “Carbon pricing in 10 minutes” (in French). Why and how is carbon price set? Which sectors are covered by the carbon market in Europe? What is the current reform all about? And what does this have to do with the carbon border adjustment mechanism? Nicolas Berghmans, Europe manager and energy-climate expert at IDDRI, answers questions from Sophie Larmoyer.
