Informal dialogue on offshore oil and gas exploration and exploitation

An informal dialogue organised by IDDRI on offshore oil and gas exploration and exploitation, at the Oceanographic Institute of Paris.

This closed seminar will gather a small group of experts from different sectors to discuss their views on the current situation and future challenges of offshore drilling activities. In particular, the discussion will focus on three issues that are at the core of IDDRI's project on offshore oil and gas exploitation: safety of offshore platforms, liability and compensation in case of accidents, capacity building of national authorities. The organisation of this seminar will allow for in-depth, interactive discussions.
