Climate risk is a particularly significant issue for developing countries. As with other disaster risks, it calls for the implementation of corrective measures, such as those contained in the Paris Agreement. This seminar is set within the broader context of the implementation of the Paris Agreement in developing countries and in Francophone Africa in particular. Its aim is to provide high-level officials from different affected ministries a shared understanding of the issues and consequences of the Agreement and to address all the issues raised by its implementation.

The seminar describes the provisions of the Paris Agreement and the international mechanisms that aim to support its implementation, specifically for African countries. The method of instruction will be based on active participation, simulation and interactive discussions between practitioners around concrete national experiences.

Held under the patronage of Laurent Fabius, President of the Constitutional Council, Former Prime Minister, Former Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development
