COP27 took place in Sharm el-Sheikh, on November 7-19. The issues of solidarity and international financing, particularly towards the countries most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, have played a decisive role from the outset, as was expected. However, other issues will were also discussed in Egypt, such as the need to strengthen climate ambition and progress in terms of adaptation.

With a dozen staff members on site, IDDRI was at the heart of the discussions and negotiations, to understand and analyse actors’ positions, geopolitical and national issues, as well as proposals for action.

During this one-hour webinar, Sébastien Treyer, Director of IDDRI, and Lola Vallejo, Director of the Climate Programme, were therefore able to give a precise and informed assessment of this 27th COP climate, its progress and persistent blockages.
