IDDRI and the French Biodiversity Office (OFB), in partnership with the Institut supérieur d'ingénierie et de gestion de l'environnement (ISIGE) and Mines Paris - PSL, provided with this conference a progress report on the mobilization of stakeholders and sectors in the run-up to COP16 of the Convention on Biological Diversity, scheduled for autumn 2024. The conference explored progress made in implementing the global framework for biodiversity between COP15 and COP16, with a focus on the development of national strategies, the sectoral involvement of businesses, and the challenges of transparency and accountability on an international scale.

Sandrine Cadic, Deputy Director General for Territories and Overseas at the French Biodiversity Office (OFB), concluded by emphasizing the need for awareness at the highest political level, the need for multi-stakeholder coordination and governance at territorial level, and the importance of measuring implemented policies in an international and transparent way.
