Andreas Rüdinger is an associate research fellow at IDDRI, specialized in the field of energy and climate policies. Before leaving Paris in 2016, he was a member of IDDRI’s Energy and Climate Program for 4 years and participated in the French national energy transition debate as a member of the Expert Committee and advisor of the chairman, Laurence Tubiana. Following his experience at IDDRI, Andreas is currently developing an activity as freelance researcher and advisor on energy policies.
His expertise covers the multiple aspects of energy transition strategies and policies at the local, national and European level: energy efficiency policies, support mechanisms and market integration of Renewable Energies, financing instruments, as well as governance issues and public participation.
Andreas holds a double Master degree in Political Sciences and International Relations from Sciences Po Bordeaux and the University of Stuttgart. He is a guest lecturer at Sciences Po Paris (PSIA), HEC Business School and AgroParisTech.
