Yann Briand is working on decarbonization trajectories in the transport sector as part of the Deep Decarbonization Pathways Project - DDPP. His work should inform the sector's stakeholders and political decision-makers about possible transformations, the quantitative indicators to be followed and the public policy levers that will make it possible to improve national contributions for the international review process scheduled for 2020.

He is an Arts et Métiers ParisTech engineer, specialized in energy engineering and worked for 2 years in an international consulting firm specialized in energy storage. With this experience in the energy innovation sector, he wished to deepen his knowledge of public action and public policy shaping by obtaining a Master's degree in Public Affairs - speciality energies, resources and sustainable development, at Sciences Po Paris before joining IDDRI in January 2017.
