The adoption of the ambitious European legislative package "Fit for 55", composed of thirteen texts, presented on July 14, 2021, appears today as an important and necessary first step. However, several challenges will have to be met to make it a success. The first will be the adhesion of all the Member States (...) The second will be to find the right balance to guarantee the adhesion of all European citizens to the decarbonization objectives. (...) Finally, a last challenge will be to make this package the means to strengthen cooperation with other geographical areas.
