Food and the associated food production sector are currently giving rise to a range of public health, social and environmental problems. The need for a transition is no longer a matter of debate. For more than three years, IDDRI and I4CE have been developing the TRAMe2035 scenario (Transition of Household Diets by 2035), which demonstrates that the transition to sustainable food systems is possible, focusing in particular on meat consumption.
This is a unique foresight exercise, simulating the trajectory of 12 social groups in response to changes in food environments, based on an original methodology combining sociology, quantitative modelling and public policy analysis. At this conference, public and private stakeholders in the food sector, alongside policymakers and scientists, discuss the conditions required to successfully achieve this transition towards a sustainable, healthy and accessible diet for all.
