The kick-off meeting of the recently launched IKI-funded DDP (Deep Decarbonisation Pathways) project in emerging economies is coordinated by IDDRI. The project brings together country teams, international experts and representatives from the 2050 Pathways Platform.
The objective of this invitation-only meeting is to share and build a collective knowledge base on long-term strategies in the participating countries: Brazil, China, India, Indonesia and South Africa. They collectively reflect upon the project objectives and the best ways to reach them.
Current policy landscape, recent trends in emissions, the nature of the transformation needed in the countries and the evidence and tools available to inform this transformation will be discussed at country level. As a coordinator of the project, IDDRI presents the latest developments on the DDP method and related tools.
